With the ever-changing situation, Jack & Jill is embracing distance learning for our JJ’s Jam program. This has been new to everyone involved, from the schoolteachers, to our teachers, and most importantly, to the kids. Our initial group of distance-learners have been amazingly patient and have all exceeded our expectations while working extremely hard.
Children complete their assignments everyday when they are able to outside their meetings. If assignments or homework is not being completed, please contact us and we will do our best to fix this. Additionally, if you have supplemental work for your child to work on, please let us know and we will work on this work with your child.
We understand that in the next few months, schedules will continue to change with school districts. Please let us know as your child’s schedule changes so that we can best adapt our program to fit your needs.
There is currently limited availability for our October distance learning rooms at both locations. We are currently accepting enrollment for this month. If interested, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or any questions you may have.
We ask that parents send their children with the supplies needed for their school day. These include:
- Pencils and/or pens
- A notebook and/or loose-leaf paper
- Art supplies for school specific projects
- Water bottle
- A fully charged device and charger
- Login information
Additionally, if your child feels more comfortable using their own scissors, markers, crayons, or other additional supplies, please feel free to send them with your child.
We’ve been following the childcare guidance provided by the Minnesota Department of Health and CDC, including increased sanitation requirements, social distancing, mask wearing, limited group sizes, dividers between desks, and not allowing parents to enter the building.
