What do we expect of our Early Childhood Educators?
Early Childhood educators are known by a variety of titles, among them child caregiver, teacher, and child care provider.
We all want the best for our children. Since early childhood education plays an integral part in child development, finding a good quality teacher to join our program is a high priority for our parents and current educators. Our preschool teachers work with children in a preschool setting with classrooms placement of children age 3, 4, and entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2022. Our current team of Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten teachers consists mostly of licensed teachers with an average of 15-20 plus years of early childhood and/or kindergarten teaching experience. Each new staff is assigned a mentor preschool teacher full-time in their classroom.

The Culture of our Program
Jack & Jill prides itself on being not just a team, but a community at work. We are a team of educators who use each other as resources to best accomplish our mission of education. We have many staff who have worked here many years to help create this family. We pride ourselves on our positivity with the kids & with each other. We work together to create a work environment that is positive & enjoyable. From simple good mornings in the hallways to potlucks & staff games like bingo, we continue to find new ways to improve our culture & build a community at work.
Families in our Community
When both parents of children work full-time, we as early childhood educators are essential workers and provide families with secure and consistent childcare. Here are just a few comments from the last two years that our families & staff have shared with us about our program:
I can’t even begin to imagine the impacts this [Covid-19] has had on you and your staff and yet you continue to provide the safest, most stress-free space possible for our kids. We continue to feel lucky to have our kids as part of the JJ family.

I love being an employee at Jack & Jill! I think the last years of hardship has really changed a lot and grown us as a team. Looking forward to see what more we can do!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for providing this service. We have always enjoyed the peace of mind that comes with dropping our kids off at Jack & Jill. The boys run into the building talking about seeing their friends, and they skip out at the end of the day singing songs they learned in class. For the second time in a two-year span, your establishment has allowed us to keep working at the jobs we love. Without transportation for our son, I don’t know how we would be getting him to school with the bussing shortage the state is experiencing.
